The Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery teaches the art of guitar making and repair. Founded in 1975, the school begins its 38th year, and is the longest running guitar making school in North America. Merging tradition with innovation the instructors and staff keeps pace with a changing industry, building on a foundation of knowledge, experience and creativity. Courses offered include: Guitar Making and Repair Course (acoustic & electric guitars), Tool Seminar, Advanced Guitar Electronics, Pickup Winding, French Polish Finishing, Amp & Effect Pedal Courses, and Metallic Finish & Patina Course. The next five month class, Guitar Making and Repair, begins on August 30th, 2012.
Roberto-Venn School is an accredited member of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Students attend the school to prepare for an occupation in guitar making and repair, and other related employment or entrepreneurial opportunities. Students from every continent except Antarctica have enrolled at Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery.
