R. Booker Studio

Booker’s work was influenced by the paintings and sculpture of Martin Puryear, Donald Sultan, and Richard Serra. Trained as a potter, he began painting 6 years ago in Minnesota.

The arts have long played a role in Booker’s professional and personal life. As a full time arts administrator, he has had the opportunity to work on both the state, regional and national level. Trained in theatre as well as the visual arts, he continues to be engaged in the development of the arts industry in Arizona with a particular focus on participation, emerging arts organizations and the work of individual artists.
